Walk-On Coaches (WOC)


Steps needed to hire a walk-on coach before the coaching assignment starts:

  • All coaches must be fingerprinted (appointments scheduled through the Human Resources Department)
  • All coaches must have first aid and CPR certification
  • All coaches must have a completed hiring packet in place
  • All coaches must have a signed contract
  • All coaches must have a TB test
  • All coaches (paid and volunteer status) must complete the NFHS/CIF Fundamentals of Coaching Education Program

After verifying first aid and CPR certification, complete the Walk-On Coaching Contract (attach copies of first aid/CPR cards) and send to the Human Resources Department.  If the coach is a new hire, the coach must contact me at 201-6020 to complete the hiring process before starting the assignment.
